rain

ey, first rain of may... this year, it came in early... it's only the 7th day of the month and the rain fell already although it is warm... anyway, why am i writing an entry about this? well, according to old wives tale, the first rain in may is supposed to make one lucky... well, right here in the phils that is... anyway... so, believing this old saying, every year, i see to it that i get a little sprinkled up during the first rain... the past years, it came as a typhoon and well, i get wet by sitting on our patio and simply looking at the rain fall... it's soothing, try it sometimes... :D anyway, this year, since it well, kinda looked like a little drizzle, i got my hand out and have it wet in the rain... anyway, where is this entry going? well, here goes...

rain for me is the most amazing thing on earth... although explained in school for over a thousand times about the water cycle, i still adore the rain... i love to see rain drops falling from the clouds, dropping on the leaves and on the street, seeing people get drenched in the rain (hope they don't get sick)... for me... it all seems relaxing, soothing and simply wonderful! a lot of people might hate the rain because it ruins their hair, their business, their clothes, get them stuck in traffic and all that... but for me, being stuck in traffic because of the rain is no big deal... getting drenched in the rain doesn't even bother me... unless i need to stay dry for some reasons... in short, i love the rain! there's this episode in boys be saying that the rain cleanses the evil from the world. i feel that it's true... even though it causes a lot of calamities and all sometimes, seeing a rain drop fall on one of the leaves of a plant, you can see that it cleans the leaf... so, a rain drop can do that, what more if there's a zillion of them?! some people hates the rain, they abhor it and despise it... well, i'm not one of those people... i guess i'm just an old romantic that takes the rain very seriously... i trust that the rain, can do wonders to the world...

ever experienced being drenched in the rain? you're cold and wet and got no shelter to run to? or even protecting some things that can't stand being wet? well, you should it if you haven't... i mean, having wet socks, wet shirt, wet hair, wet pants and when you enter an establishment or your home, you find yourselves dripping all over the place... it's such an awesome feeling for me... it's like you have been cleansed from all your sins and it feels like you have been reborn and brought back to the world... dramatic isn't it? well, memories in the rain are one of the most unforgettable memories i have... besides full moons... :D
